From the HapMap Project, we see that Chinese people and Japanese people have practically the SNP frequencies?

This suggests that both are descended from a large population via large scale migrations, or Japanese are descended from a large population of Chinese via a large scale migration from China to Japan. Yes?

It shows human genetic variation across different human populations for any gene. You can input the gene name in the “Landmark or Region” box at the top to see the genetic variation for that gene. For each gene, you can mouse over each SNP ( an “rs” ) to see a pop-up display that shows the distribution of its two alleles across different human populations.
